I moved to Brookings in 1990 to help open a fast food restaurant and start a family. It was the spring of 1990, 2 years graduated from high school, and a newlywed.
Since that time, I have worked in customer service, banking, owned two home businesses and earned many awards in sales.
Along with my wife Karen, I have watched Brookings & the surrounding communities grow over the years. I enjoy camping, NASCAR, NFL and coaching soccer, along with the community organizations I am involved in.
I moved to the Brookings area in 2012. I quickly fell in love with the welcoming community, strong values, and opportunities it offers. My wife, Ashlyn—who grew up in nearby Elkton—and I are blessed to raise our five children here, where family, faith, and community truly matter.
Before entering real estate, I have held roles in retail, banking, and human resources, helping people reach their goals and navigate critical life transitions.
That same passion for serving others drives my work in real estate today.
I am a born and raised resident of Brookings, having graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from SDSU. I moved to Ames, Iowa after graduating to teach preschool, but quickly moved back to Brookings because my husband and I loved and missed the community here and knew that this would be the best place to raise our children.
I began working with the Brookings Home Team in 2018 as an Office Assistant, which allowed me to see the “behind-the-scenes” work it takes to list and sell homes. It was evident that the Home Team not only cares about helping their clients, but also desires to bring the absolute best service to every transaction.
My Real Estate career started in 2014 and I am sensitive to how important the decisions surrounding home ownership are and understand what it means to move into or away from a neighborhood or community. Using my knowledge of the local market and effective negotiating skills, my goal is to make your home-buying experience as smooth as possible by successfully handling every detail with confidence.
I am a member of our local board director serving as Vice President. In the past, I have served as secretary/treasurer, attended South Dakota Realtor leadership, and have served 3 years at the state level as a membership committee member.

I am excited to put my experiences to work for you in finding that right place to call home or marketing your existing one because it’s time to upgrade, downsize or just make a change. “I bought my house through Century21 in 1998 and they helped me every step of the way. It just seemed like a natural fit for me to be here.
They were very friendly and knowledgeable and helped me find that perfect “dream” home.
I want to provide that same service to the people of the Brookings area.” I have been in the Real Estate business since 2009, working with commercial and residential clients to include First Time Home Buyers and repeat buyers. Doing Market Evaluations for a community credit union is also a specialty.
I am a past Chair and currently a member of the Membership Services committee at the state level, on the SDAR State Board of Directors and volunteer on some local committees.
Also a member of the Brookings Chamber of Commerce, National Assoc. of Realtors, East Central Board of Realtors, and Brookings Regional Builders Assoc. Awards I have earned would include the Rising Star award in 2012, 5 consecutive years of the Century 21 Quality Service award, Master Ruby Award for 2 straight years and was voted the ECBR 2014 Realtor of the Year.
I am also a graduate of the 2013 SDAR Leadership Academy and hold the SRS NAR designation. And recently, the 2015 South Dakota Volunteer of the Year from the South Dakota State Soccer Association.

I’m dedicated to assisting clients to find their dream homes and build long-term wealth through homeownership—no matter what stage of life they’re in.
As part of the Brookings Home Team pwrd by Century 21 Krogman & Company, I’m proud to bring a blend of professionalism, empathy, and strategy to every transaction. Whether you’re buying your first home, upgrading, or investing in property, my goal is to make your experience clear, confident, and rewarding from start to finish.
For me, real estate is more than buying or selling a home—it’s about building relationships that last and helping families plant roots in a community that continues to grow stronger every year.

It was evident that the Home Team not only cares about helping their clients, but also desires to bring the absolute best service to every transaction. Each client was heard and respected, and the Realtors on the team worked tirelessly to create a culture of excellence. With a cumulative 16 years of experience between the team members, every question was either answered, or directed to someone who could answer it efficiently.
I received my Realtor’s License in 2019, and since then have closed on numerous homes with the help of my teammates and my outstanding clients. I use my knowledge of the market, the surrounding area, and new trainings to find the home that best fits my buyers’ needs. Navigating a real estate transaction is oftentimes confusing and stressful, but the teaching techniques I learned with my degree allow me to explain every step of the process. I want my clients to feel comfortable and assured that I do everything in my power to find their dream home.
In my free time, I enjoy being outside with my two children—either at the Nature Park or going for walks around our neighborhood—reading, and drinking coffee. I am excited to show more people the magic of Brookings, and continue working with the Brookings Home Team to help serve the community!

In the past, I have served as secretary/treasurer, attended South Dakota Realtor leadership, and have served 3 years at the state level as a membership committee member. I’ve received local recognition as Rising Star in 2017. I’ve also been recognized by Century 21 —receiving the Quality Service award, Pinnacle Service award, Million Dollar club as an individual and have received team awards in the areas of service as well. I very much enjoy what I do and am always very humbled to receive service awards.
My husband, Jim, is a successful contractor in and around the Brookings area. We have five children – Sarah, John, Jeff, Samuel, and Benjamin. We are active in church and our younger boys participate in Brookings Swim Club. We enjoy helping out at local meets and are grateful to live in a community with so many opportunities available.
In 2011, my husband and I sold our home and settled into our current home by working with Shane Andersen at Century 21. Since then I’ve told folks what a positive experience it was for us and how we also gained a life-long friendship in the process. It is my sincere desire to extend this same courtesy and friendship to my future clients.
It’s about way more than selling a house—it’s about establishing a relationship that lasts long after closing day. #ihavethebestclients
